Wimbledon is the oldest and the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. It has been held since 1877 in the All England Club. The tournament features a number of traditions such as a strict dress code for its competitors, ball boys and girls, and the patronage of the British Royal Family. The tournament lasts for over two weeks in late June and early July, making it the third event of the Gland Slam tournaments during the annual tennis calendar.

The Wimbledon
Competitors play on grass courts, which considerably increase the speed of the game as the surface is not as firm as hard courts and are more slippery, which causes the ball to slide and bounce lower. This forces players to move faster in order to reach the ball.
